I have been diagnosed with csr 4 weeks ago,

I'm fairly sure 40-50 hours per week competitive computer gaming was the cause.

Possibly too much adrenaline

I did some more reading on the web. One person claimed they could turn on/off CSR with their caffine intake. It got me to thinking. When my food allergy test came back with milk as one of the things I am allergic to, I cut back on my coffee intake because I basically only like coffee with a little milk. BTW, Coffee did not show up on the list of things I am allergic to. I went for a while drinking just one cup a day while I tried/got used to different alternatives (hemp, rice, oat, soy) you name it, I tried it. Well, it was only about 1 week into my new diet that I noticed the smaller spot had dissapeared. Just recently it has reappeared and the big spot never went away. So it occured to me that my coffee intake has increased, especially over the past month. I drink 3,4 or 5 cups a day. (no soda's or other sources of caffine)
So Friday I gave up coffee/caffine. It will be interesting to see where this goes.

44 year old male with CSR in one eye. Showed up about 2 years ago. diagnosed by retnia specialist about 6 months ago. Suggested Laser treatment. I have not done that yet. Naturpathic Dr. suggested it could be due to food alergies and inflamation, so I had the food test about 3 months ago. I have avoided the foods I am alergic to for just over 3 months. It hasn't been easy (wheat, eggs, milk,bakers/brewers yeast are include in the alergic list) but I have been extremely good at avoiding these things. No improvement in the eye. Well, actually at first it seemed that the smaller dot had disappeard but it recently reappeard. I am also taking supplements for eye nutrition. I just gave up alcohol completly to see if that might impact it. pretty much that just leaves caffine which I will give up next. I drink 2 or 3 cups of coffee a day. I had this condition years ago and it just cleared up with no life style changes. This time it seems to be sticking around. Looking back over the past 2 years my lifestyle changes include a loss of weight due to improved diet while trying to control Cholesterol. I am now around 15% body fat. Also, I started using Stevia, instead of sugar in my coffee, a couple of years ago. I don't think that would be a cause but I figured I would mention it. I eat very little processed food so my msg/high fructose corn syrup/salt intake is next to nill. I don't add salt. BP is typically 100/80. Pulse hangs out around 60. All other tests, including lipids, are well within the normal range. I do cardio exercise on a regular basis keeping my heart rate at 90% or above.

I have been diagnosed for CSR on Aug 09. One day morning, after a flight, I had severe blured vision in right eye. After a few test within days, I was diagnosed for CSR. One specilist has recommeded injection of gas into eye ball to push the liquid out. And then to close the breach using laser.

Now it is three months since diagnosis. My vision has sabilised at 6/6, 6/12. Liquid volume is same. I have decided to wait for 8 more wekks before having any intervension.
